Feeding Your Samoyed

so whats the best way

The way we feed our dogs is really down to time, convenience and personal choice.

My opinion is that as our dogs are carnivores, which means that they have teeth designed to rip and tear flesh, they should be encouraged to eat this way.

Now I don't mean I'm going to expect them to go out and hunt and find their own food so I still prepare it for them so therefor the way I feed my own dogs is a Natural Raw Meaty & Bone diet. (RMB)

I find mine and probably all dogs if given a choice would prefer to eat this type of fresh food rather than the dried feeds which so many owners choose to feed.

RMB: NATURES NATURAL TOOTHBRUSH

Raw meaty bones act as nature's toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss combined, and will keep your dogs teeth and gums in healthy condition

None of my dogs have ever had to have a tooth descaling at the vet, where an anaesthetic would have to be administered, which is a much greater risk than your dog eating a Raw bone!!!

Here's a video clip of my dogs enjoying their raw meaty bone's. Notice the size of the bone I give them which is too big to swallow, so therefor they have to chew them. This chewing massages their gums and keeps the teeth clean and healthy.

Also see above the photo of Yogi's teeth, taken just a few weeks before he passed away. My vet and show judges always commented how clean his teeth were for a dog of nearly 10 year's old.

WHOLE NECK / BREAST OF LAMB

CHICKEN CARCUS

TURKEY WINGS

FRESH TRIPE CHUNKS

BEEF CHUNKS

POULTRY NECKS

SMALL AMOUNTS OF HEART/LIVER & KIDNEYS

Although not neccessary, my dogs also enjoy to eat pieces of raw vegetables & fruit such as carrots / broccoli  & cabbage stalks/ cucumber / peppers / apples / pears & bananas

NEVER GIVE YOUR DOG'S

 ANY COOKED BONES

*mushrooms, potatoes, garlic, onions, grapes, raisons and rhubarb are among foods that should never be given to dogs as they contain toxins which have been proven to be harmful if eaten *

  REMEMBER

When feeding raw bones always give your dog a bone big enough so they can't swallow whole.

This is the reason I never give mine chicken wings as they are small for them.
