The puppy named within this contract is sold herewith for the purpose of primarily being a family pet and companion.

The Kennel Club Registration
The Kennel Club Registration for this animal is endorsed “Progeny Not Eligible For Registration” and “Not Eligible for Issue of Export Pedigree”.

The endorsement, “Progeny Not Eligible For Registration” means that any descendants of said animal cannot be registered with The Kennel Club. This is done to safeguard the health and welfare of this animal and the future of the breed. However, should the Purchaser decide that they wish to breed from the above named animal, the Breeders agree that they will give due consideration to removing the endorsement when the animal is of a suitable age for breeding, has had its eyes tested under the KC/BVA scheme and achieved a clear result, has had its hips scored under the KC/BVA scheme and achieved a total score of no greater than 5 above the breed average at that time, is of sound temperament and general health and has no major conformation faults according to the Kennel Club Breed Standard. The endorsement “Not Eligible For Issue of Export Pedigree” means registration with an overseas authority is not permissible. This does not, of course, prevent the animal from being taken abroad under the Pet Passport Scheme. This endorsement will not be removed under any circumstances.

 Health
The Breeders confirm that this puppy has had a health examination by a veterinary surgeon and at the time of this sale and to the best of their knowledge, is of good health, is sound, with good temperament and is typical of the breed, and is sold in good faith. However, as this animal is a living individual where environmental and other factors will greatly affect it whilst growing, the breeders are unable to guarantee the future health, temperament and character of the above named animal. The Purchaser agrees to have the puppy examined by a veterinarian within 7 working days of the date of this agreement. If the veterinarian finds that the puppy is unfit for its primary purpose of a companion, the puppy may be returned to the breeders within 48 hours of the veterinary examination at the Purchasers expense. Upon return of the puppy, the full purchase price will be refunded on condition that the puppy is accompanied by a letter from the examining veterinarian stating the problem, and the puppy is returned in the same condition and state of health as it was sold, subject only to natural deterioration. All veterinary expenses and travel expenses to be borne by the Purchaser.

Care of your Puppy 

The Purchaser agrees to provide a healthy diet, adequate controlled exercise and clean, fresh water sufficient to maintain proper health of the above named animal; to provide adequate bedding and housing; to ensure all garden areas are securely fenced to prevent escape or theft of the animal while outdoors; to provide adequate grooming to maintain condition of coat, ears, feet, nails, teeth, and eyes; to provide adequate medical care, seeking veterinary assistance when necessary; to provide adequate training and socialising according to the characteristic of the breed; to ensure the dog is not left alone for long and regular periods of time.

The breeders will give a lifetime guarantee of help and support, should it be needed, however should the Purchaser at any time decide not to keep the animal, for whatever reason and at whatever age, it is a condition of this contract of sale that the animal shall be returned to the Breeder and its Kennel Club Registration transferred back into the Breeders names without delay. All costs involved in returning the dog to the Breeder shall be borne by the Purchaser.
